The Tour unites various industry participants to address the talent-gap and grow our space. Through an interactive and engaging program\, Alliance members will roll up their sleeves to impart wisdom\, share experiences\, and offer career advice to high school students in the KC area.\n\n \n\nWe are especially committed to providing a clear path for minorities and women to materially contribute to our space. Through these Converge Tour events\, we:\n\n \n\n Attract students to our space and present clear career paths Educate teachers and students on the need for computer science skillsets\n\n \n\n Advise school districts on industry needs for relevant curriculum instruction & implementation\n\n \n\n Foster a peer-to-peer support system for collaboration amongst cybersecurity leaders and educators\n\n \n\nPROGRAM COMPONENTS:\n\n \n\nCybersecurity mini-lessons where students learn more about the industry\, the global impact\, how to best protect themselves and their data\, as well as what it takes to be a cybersecurity professional.\n\n \n\nDiscussion focused on career paths and the cybersecurity landscape. Our goal is to bridge the gap between industry and education\, providing students and teachers the insight and resources they need to navigate the path to a cybersecurity career.\n\n \n\nVirtual Capture the Flag exercise to encourage teamwork\, creative problem solving and analytical thinking skills. Volunteers guide students through the CTF challenges and share their expertise to deepen the students' understanding.\n\n \n\nExcellent networking and career fair opportunity. Lunch will be provided!
