Volunteer with PREP-KC | Various Opportunities

PREP-KC needs your support to make these opportunities possible for students. Please consider joining at one or more of the events below. Their schools, teachers, and students would be grateful!

In Person Opportunities: 
 

  • Monday, March 14 from 9:30-11:30am, Center High School's Business and Finance Career Jumping (in person). Seeking volunteers with business and finance backgrounds. Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories in a speed-dating format.  

  • Tuesday, March 15 from 1:00-2:45pm, Ruskin High School's Business and Finance Career Jumping (in person). Seeking volunteers with business and finance backgrounds. Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories in a speed-dating format.  

  • Wednesday, April 6 from 7:45-9:30am, Central Middle School (KCK) 6th grade Career Speakers (in person). Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories with students in the classroom. 

  • Wednesday, April 6 from 9:00-11:00am, Allen Village's Business and Finance Career Jumping (in person). Seeking volunteers with business and finance backgrounds. Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories in a speed-dating format.  

  • Tuesday, April 12 from 8:45-10:45am, Allen Village Mad City Money for 11th and 12th grade (in person). Students will participate in a "game of life" simulation to learn financial literacy skills. Seeking volunteers from all backgrounds to staff interactive booths regarding topics including mortgage, transportation, daycare, and others

  • Tuesday, April 19 from 8:00-11:00am, Grandview High School 9th grade Career Jumping (in person). Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories in a speed-dating format. 

  • Wednesday, April 13 from 8:45-10:45am, Carl Bruce 6th grade Career Speakers (in person). Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories with students in the classroom. 

  • Wednesday, April 20 from 8:45-10:45am, Carl Bruce 7th grade Career Speakers (in person). Volunteers will spend time sharing their career stories with students in the classroom.  

Virtual Opportunities: 

  • Tuesday, March 29 from 3:00-4:00pm, Virtual Volunteer Orientation.

  • Saturday, April 30 from 8:45-2:30pm, 8th Annual PREP-KC Junior Math Relays. Volunteers will virtually proctor math challenges with students from partnering urban school districts. Advanced math skills are not required.
