DC Fly-In

The KC Tech Council is excited to return to Capitol Hill on May 11th and 12th as a part of TECNA's DC Fly-In! The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) is the KC Tech Council’s federal advocacy partner, representing more than 60 Tech Councils and 22,000+ tech employers.

This year’s DC Fly-In will provide attendees with education and in-depth knowledge of Congressional tech policy priorities including:

Federal data privacy rights
High-skilled immigration reform
“Big tech” anti-trust regulations

At the end of the first day, our KC contingency of business leaders will head to Capitol Hill and meet directly with KC-area members of Congress and key staff. Participation from regional business leaders is crucial for building relationships with members of Congress. Lobbyists, special interest groups and thousands of industry associations are commonly represented on Capitol Hill. However, members of Congress are eager to speak with business leaders like you.

We hope you’ll consider joining us for this essential opportunity to learn, network, and advocate for what’s most important to regional tech employers.

It is important to note the KC Tech Council is not a registered lobbying organization, and no employees of the organization are registered as lobbyists. The purpose of this event is educational and should not be considered a lobbying activity.

Do I need to register with TECNA?

No, once you’re registered with KCTC we will take care of your registration with TECNA. A confirmation email will be sent.

What is included in the registration fee?

Conference registration
Meals while attending the conference (breakfast & lunch)
KCTC will provide all other meals

What should I expect from this conference?

Education about tech-industry policies prioritized in Congress
Experience what it’s like to advocate on behalf of your company with lawmakers and key staff

Is it required to attend the whole conference?

We prefer registered attendees to be present and engaged for the entire conference. However, please let us know if your schedule has conflicts.

Are travel and lodging included?

No, the conference fee does not include your travel and lodging, and KC Tech Council will not be coordinating travel or lodging plans. However, we have provided hotel recommendations. If we can help, let us know!
