A national data breach notification law may finally become a reality with Senator Rob Portman’s Data Security & Breach Notification Act of 2020. Members of the National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) are currently reviewing the draft legislation.
On Friday, April 24, Patrick Gaul, Executive Director of the NTSC; Robert Ball, General Counsel of Ionic Security and Chair of the NTSC’s Policy Council; and George McElwee, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Commonwealth Strategic Partners, will talk about major aspects of this bill and answer your questions. TAG and NTSC also welcomes your input as Senator Portman and his staff craft national data breach notification legislation that works for everyone.
The NTSC (www.ntsc.org) consists of CISOs and cybersecurity industry advisors who work with congressional lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to craft legislation that positively impacts national cybersecurity policy. The NTSC brings security practitioners’ voices to Capitol Hill, and lawmakers listen. Invite your CISO, CSO, CIO, Privacy Officer or General Counsel to join us for what promises to be a very interesting Q&A.
