UX Strategist

Responsibilities
- Quickly get up-to-speed on the client’s business, goals and objectives and understand the target audience and current challenges
- Build relationships with clients, serving as a thoughtful, deeply engaged, trusted partner for clients across all dimensions of the user experience, filtering information through the lens of the business and user needs
- Work closely with client teams and end-users to uncover business and user needs, assisting in prioritization as needed
- Design and conduct user research through a variety of methods: task-based usability testing, contextual inquiry, focus groups, observational research, and workshops
- Synthesize and compile key findings and challenges and make recommendations to address issues
- Shepherd the interaction design process, provide guidance and oversight, present designs and findings to client teams, and solicit, collect, and transfer meaningful feedback to the design team
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to encourage the sharing of ideas, feedback and expertise throughout the project lifecycle
- Consistently complete projects on time and within budget
- Successfully contribute to multiple projects at varying stages
- Be a constant advocate for great user-centered design
- Continue to grow, educate and experiment with new and evolving UX practices to stay up-top-date on industry trends
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience leading the development of user experiences and interfaces for large scale websites or applications
- At least 3 years of experience in product management and strategy for digital or retail products
- At least 3 years of experience developing strategies for digital delivery of experiences
- Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with other intelligent and talented types
- Experience working effectively with remote team members
- Open to feedback and aware of how and when to defend design choices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with prototyping tools and Adobe Creative Suite
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
