Description
The Department of Mathematics, Analytics and Technology in the College of Business and Technology and the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business Intelligence and Analytics beginning in August 2026. The Helzberg School of Management is AACSB accredited and the analytics programs are nationally ranked by U.S. News and World Report.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree with a research and teaching focus on Data Science, Applied Statistics, Analytics, and Machine Learning. Candidates with a master’s degree may be considered for a non-tenure track or visiting position. Most classes are taught in R and Python.
We welcome applicants with the ability to contribute to our Information Systems program, particularly in areas such as database management, systems analysis and design, enterprise systems, or applied programming.
Responsibilities of this position include engaging in scholarship to maintain AACSB currency, active participation in university, school, and professional service, and teaching 18-21 credit hours per year including undergraduate and graduate classes. Potential classes include Business Intelligence, Statistics, Text Mining, Applied Data Mining, Programming for Analytics, and Big Data Analytics.
