BARR Advisory is looking for a steady and strategic leader who will help shape the future of the attest practice by contributing both vision and hands-on support. Our next Attestation Practice Leader will bring maturity, perspective, and an ownership mindset. RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Attestation Practice Leader include, but are not limited to:

Leadership, Management and Accountability

  • Lead a 40-person team across SOC, ISO, Healthcare, HITRUST, and emerging service lines
  • Coach and develop managers and team members through consistent feedback and support
  • Establish scalable resourcing and delivery models that support growth and simplicity
  • Align strategy and execution in partnership with the Leadership Team

Client Growth and Market Expansion

  • Grow top-line revenue by five million dollars over two years
  • Expand services within existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities
  • Bring or build a strong network and identify strategic growth areas such as FedRAMP and CMMC
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to grow BARR’s presence and pipeline

Client Success and Service Delivery

  • Ensure consistent delivery excellence across all engagements
  • Support client teams in managing scope, timelines, and communication
  • Guide resolution of client issues and translate feedback into service improvements
  • Promote team capabilities in project management and relationship development

Operational and Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Own P&L outcomes and drive performance metrics
  • Lead pricing, staffing, and delivery planning in collaboration with other departments
  • Partner with Operations to streamline systems and remove barrier to efficiency
  • Maintain strong collaboration with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance

 

** This is a full-time, remote position operating out of the US with approximately 30% of domestic travel required on an annual basis.**

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Minimum ten years of experience in Internal Audit, Consulting, or Professional Services
  • At least seven years of experience delivering cybersecurity services such as SOC, ISO, HITRUST, PCI, CMMC, or FedRAMP
  • Five years of experience in a practice leadership or senior management role with responsibility for revenue, operations, and team performance
  • Proven success leading teams through growth, change, and complexity
  • Demonstrated operational experience including pricing strategy, capacity planning, and service delivery management
  • Track record of contributing to or directly growing revenue through client acquisition or expansion
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant professional certifications
  • Experience leading remote teams and building a strong culture in a virtual work environment
  • Strategic experience supporting enterprise-level clients or regulated frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, CMMC)
  • History of successful leadership in both entrepreneurial and maturing consulting environments

Desired

  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar business frameworks
  • Possession of an established book of business or strong network in the cybersecurity or compliance space
  • Experience managing a business unit with revenue of at least $25M
  • Hands-on expertise in multiple service areas such as SOC, ISO, PCI, HITRUST, or Government assessments
  • Ability to serve as a thought leader in the cybersecurity and compliance space through speaking, writing, or public engagement
