Full Stack Developer

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this role is an integral part of the DI technology team who can architect, execute and maintain projects that blend digital and physical technologies to create engaging interactive experiences. DI builds interactive life-size games, augmented reality photo ops, animated LED light fixtures, silhouette-tracking theaters and screens, virtual reality experiences and so much more. We work with college and pro sports teams and stadiums, museums and children's hospitals, corporations, and entertainment venues. The Full Stack Developer solves problems and builds interactive experiences using a tech-agnostic approach, drawing on skills and experience from previous work and picking up new tools and skills as needed.



  • Understands full stack development technologies, tools, frameworks, and workflows
  • Demonstrates proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and understanding of user experience and design
  • Self-directs and performs at a high level in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment



  • Server-Side Experience:
    • Python (Django, Django REST Framework
    • Node.js (Express, Websockets)
  • Platform Technology Experience:
    • AWS (S3/IAM/Route53)
    • Heroku (Or experience with other platforms-as-a-service)
  • Front-End Experience:
    • Vue.js
    • JavaScript Animation Frameworks (GSAP, Anime.js or similar)
    • Canvas API
    • JavaScript visualization frameworks is a bonus (THREE.js, D3.js, Paper.js or similar)
  • Hardware Integration Experience:
    • Sensors, cameras, Kinect, LED lighting, RealSense, etc.
    • Embedded systems such as Phidgets, Arduino, Raspberry Pi



  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar or equivalent work experience
  • Professional software development experience
  • Experience with Touch Designer, Unity, or Unreal is a plus
