Software Engineer III
The Information Technology Group of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer III. This position is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of the CI/CD pipeline for application development. Work to improve and adapt the pipeline to meet ongoing security requirements, coordinate application area testing/implementation. This is a full-time hybrid-remote position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City, Missouri office is required.
Responsibilities Include
- Develop applications based on business and technical requirements
- Implement application design by utilizing development languages and tools
- Develop and execute unit tests for assigned projects
- Ensure the code is scalable and meets performance requirements for assigned projects through performance tuning
Management Responsibilities
This position does not have direct reports.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Computer Science or associate’s degree in applied science specific to Computer Science, and five plus years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with statistics and statistical analysis.
- Analytical/technical writing experience.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts.

Travel
Must be able and willing to travel to locations throughout the United States and with such frequency as necessary to meet the needs of this position and the Association.
Compensation
$80,000- $105,000, commensurate with education and experience.
