Technical Recruiter

Our Technical Recruiter position is a newly created role to support Capstone IT’s growth in our Staffing Division (contract, contract for hire and direct placement) as well as our Solutions Division as Capstone is a Systems Integrator for Cloud, DevOps and Containerization services. The position will be based in Kansas City (Overland Park), while open to a hybrid working schedule. This position is responsible for identifying top IT Talent, deploying successful recruitment strategies, and maintaining key client relationships throughout the recruiting lifecycle. This role is part of our internal career progression program. 


  • Consult to understand the needs of the customer hiring managers 
  • Define, design and deploy recruitment action plans to connect with targeted talent 
  • Collaborate with fellow Recruiters and Account Managers to identify, develop and execute best practices differentiating Capstone IT in the marketplace 
  • Source candidates through online searches, searching our internal database, social media (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter), generate referrals, mine job boards, posting jobs online, and attending networking events 
  • Establish targeted talent pipelines through a variety of relationship management strategies  
  • Pre-screen prospective candidates and manage the selection process to ensure talent fit 
  • Record activities, making notes, updating information, and creating documentation in our Applicant Tracking/CRM Software 
  • Make outbound phone calls, emails, and texts to initiate contact with IT professionals

  • Must be based within the Kansas City or surrounding area 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or two years professional experience as an IT Recruiter. Note - we are also open to hiring entry level and invest in you through a thorough training program 
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite  
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support the needs of customers, candidates, and teammates (When we're busy, some weeks can be closer to 50 hour weeks)
