ABOUT THE POSITION
The Vice President of Carrier Sales will lead the company’s efforts to grow and manage relationships within the carrier and wholesale telecommunications market. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, fostering partnerships, and driving revenue through effective leadership of the carrier sales team, and will play a crucial role in positioning the company as a trusted partner in the telecommunications industry.

Requirements
 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership
    • Develop and implement carrier sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Identify opportunities in the carrier and wholesale markets to expand the company’s footprint and market share.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to refine sales approaches and maintain competitiveness.
  • Team Leadership and Management
    • Oversee the carrier sales team, providing leadership, direction, and support to achieve individual and team goals.
    • Foster a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
    • Establish and track performance metrics, ensuring accountability and consistent results.
  • Partnership Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and wholesale clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Lead negotiations and secure agreements with carrier partners to drive mutual growth.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for key carrier accounts, addressing challenges and aligning solutions with customer needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, product development, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
    • Advocate for customer-centric enhancements to products and services based on market feedback.
    • Collaborate on pricing strategies and sales programs to meet market demands and profitability goals.
  • Operational and Financial Oversight
    • Manage the carrier sales division’s budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
    • Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports to senior leadership.
    • Develop forecasts and projections to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in carrier or wholesale sales within the telecommunications industry, with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in driving sales teams to meet or exceed targets.
  • Strong relationships with decision-makers within the carrier segment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • In-depth understanding of telecommunications technologies and the carrier/wholesale market.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
