IN-PERSON CAREER EXPLORATION EVENTS
PREP-KC supports career exploration opportunities in a variety of formats for all ages. Each event is listed below for volunteers to sign up as they are available. Click here to see a description of each of our in-person events for more details.
THE CONNECTOR (click links on the right to see teacher requests)
Virtually connecting teachers with industry professionals in every classroom. Each session is created by teachers to have volunteers speak about a variety of requested topics. Check out a brief video of the Connector in action or an overview flyer to get more information. Note that the platform will require creating a free account and a free virtual background check to be completed (conducted by a third party with no cost to the volunteer). VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
We encourage all volunteers to participate in our Virtual DEI Volunteer Orientation held twice in the fall and spring semesters. This virtual volunteer orientation via Zoom will help new, current, and prospective volunteers learn about our mission, the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and your role as the volunteer. Available Orientation sessions will be listed among the events below.
When you sign up to volunteer, our schools are counting on you to attend. If something comes up, we completely understand but if possible please let us know in advance or help find a substitute.
